Once upon a time...
...there once was a big, grand mill on the Flat Rock River in Indiana. It was built in the 1800s and was 1 of 30 mills that operated off of the same shallow waters. The 'Charles Mill' and 'Copeland Mill' are some names it acquired throughout the years. Eventually it landed in the hands of a family that turned the mill into a house in the 1950s. It exchanged hands a few more times until it landed in ours and we decided to share it's beauty with the world! The Mill Estate is 18 acres on the Flat Rock River with a stable, scenic walking paths, a sweet little play house, and the crown jewel of the property: The Mill House.
When guests come here, we wanted them to feel like they were stepping into a different era. An era where people weren't in a rush and life was enjoyed. We tried to preserve as much as we could with the grand house and then restore the rest to fit the personality of the stunning structure.
